Logic riddles with answers involve looking at situations and making judgements about them by ruling out impossibilities. If you like solving maths puzzles, you will most probably like logic riddles as well.

Three Boxes

On the table before you are three small boxes, labeled A, B , and C. Inside each box is a colored plastic chip. One chip is red, one is white, and one is blue. You do not know which chip is in which box. Then, you are told that of the next three statements, exactly one is true:

  1. Box A contains the red chip
  2. Box B does not contain the red chip
  3. Box C does not contain the blue chip

Determine the color of the chip in each box.

The boys want you to find out how. You are observing the boy spinning an egg when suddenly it drops to the floor. The apartment clerk casually hands him a broom to clean it up, as if it happens every day. You now know why the boy always wins the daily competition. How?

A person has one lion, one sheep and a bundle of grass. He wants to cross a river but there is only one boat and it can’t sustain the weight of more than two articles at time.

Also, he has to make sure that the lion doesn’t eat the sheep and the sheep doesn’t eat the grass. How will he get to the other side of the river with all three intact?

A farmer and his neighbour once went to Emperor Akbar’s court with a complaint.

“Your Majesty, I bought a well from him,” said the farmer pointing to his neighbour, “and now he wants me to pay for the water.”

“That’s right, your Majesty,” said the neighbour. “I sold him the well but not the water!” The Emperor asked Birbal to settle the dispute.
